2009: the year of my blog’s birth, the year of the discovery of all of you dear readers who followed me, the year of the opening of my online shop, the year of the beginning of cooperation with Demetra for Pigchic, the year in wich I realized that even if a friend is in Dublin she can be very close, the year of the meeting that, maybe, can change your life (yes, this is you, Manu!). In short, the year when I started to believe that dreams can come true! Thanks with heart to all of you, I wish you a 2010 full of satisfactions!

Il 2009: l’anno di nascita del mio blog, l’anno della scoperta di tutti voi cari lettori che mi seguite, l’anno dell’apertura del mio shop online, l’anno dell’inizio della collaborazione con Demetra per Pigchic, l’anno in cui ho capito che anche se un’amica è a Dublino può essere molto vicina, l’anno dell’incontro che, chissà, può cambiare la vita (sì, sei proprio tu, Manu!). Insomma, l’anno in cui ho cominciato a credere che i sogni si possono avverare! Grazie di cuore a tutti voi, vi auguro un 2010 ricco di soddisfazioni!

Ora, dopo i sentimentalismi, ditemi un po’, come festeggerete l’ultima notte di quest’anno ma, soprattutto, cosa indosserete? Io, in questi scatti, vi propongo un outfit semplice ma di effetto, molto scintillante!

I’m really very happy to celebrate the first Christmas with you all, you that follow me every day! Not only that, the 26th is my birthday and, therefore, I’m doubly pleased to celebrate also this special day with my readers.

The Xmas tree you see in these photos is that of my house, in my living room next to the fireplace, around which in the Christmas Eve we’ll unwrap all gifts...from this point of view I never grew up, what I used to do as a child I still do now and the magic atmosphere is always the same!

For the occasion, in this outfit I wear a sparkling dress but I couldn’t not add my personal touch...Have you noticed the ankle boots? In addition to their beautiful colour, they’ve an incredible scent...and then, they’re a pair of Melissa!

Sono veramente molto felice di poter festeggiare il primo Natale insieme a tutti voi che mi seguite. E non solo, il 26 sarà il mio compleanno e, quindi, sono doppiamente contenta di poter festeggiare anche questo giorno per me così speciale insieme ai miei lettori.

L’albero di Natale che vedete in queste foto è quello di casa mia, nel mio soggiorno vicino al camino intorno al quale la notte di Natale si scarteranno tutti i regali…da questo punto di vista non sono mai cresciuta, ciò che facevo da bambina lo faccio ancora oggi e la magia è sempre la stessa!

Per l’occasione, in questo outfit indosso un abito scintillante ma non potevo non aggiungere un mio tocco personale…avete notato gli ankle boots? Oltre ad avere un colore stupendo, hanno un profumo incredibile…e poi sono un paio di Melissa!

In this period, I particularly love purple and not just because it’s trendy but because I think it suits me very well and can be combined with many other colours. I love the last picture, it shall me joy just looking at it and then, what's better than throw yourself on a bed full of clothes and accessories?

Last Tuesday I was at M Missoni, the new flagship store of the Missoni’s young line recently opened in Milan, for a Christmas drink with the new collection’s preview. As a good Italian fashion victim, I love Missoni, the quality and workmanship of its fabrics, and thanks to the M Missoni line, it isn’t necessary to squander own assets to have a dress of this maison!

Christmas is closer and I'd like to know your plans for the holidays and, above all, your wishing list! By the way have you seen my Christmas widget with countdown to the most magical day of the year?

In questo periodo amo in modo particolare il viola e non solo perchè è di moda ma perchè credo che mi si addica e che possa essere abbinato a tantissimi altri colori. Adoro l’ultima foto, mi trasmette gioia solo a guardarla e poi, cosa c’è di meglio che buttarsi su un letto pieno di vestiti e accessori?

Martedì ero da M Missoni, il nuovo flagship store della linea giovane di Missoni inaugurato da poco a Milano, per un aperitivo di Natale con anteprima della nuova collezione. Da buona italian fashion victim, adoro Missoni, il pregio e la lavorazione dei suoi tessuti e, grazie alla linea M Missoni, non è necessario dilapidare il proprio patrimonio per possedere un abito della maison!

Natale è sempre più vicino e mi piacerebbe sapere un po’ i vostri programmi per le feste e, soprattutto, la vostra wishing list! A proposito avete visto il mio Christmas widget con tanto di countdown al giorno più magico dell’anno?

Come potete notare da una foto di questo post, adoro gli smalti e, in questo periodo, sono particolarmente attratta dai colori molto scuri, un po’ rock…qui indosso un nero laccato davvero bello, ma recentemente ho acquistato un blu notte, un blu elettrico ed un grigio intenso! Ma la mia collezione annovera anche un rosa fosforescente…so Eighties baby!

Handmade balls crochet necklace

I love these shoots so ladylike, I feel to be catapulted into another era. I have to thank Leon d'Oro Hotel in Orta that kindly allowed me to use its interiors very suited for the set I thought to recreate.

.

The necklace I wear is another one of my creations: they are crochet coated wood balls of increasing sizes in different color shades. Starting from central white biggest ball one, going to cream balls, then beige, turtledove and, in the end, mud. Closure consists in a small loop. Even this creation will be available soon in my blog's shop section.

.

And then, Xmas is coming...Last Thursday I was at Dior in Milan at the cocktail for the maison universes' presentation by "Savoire Faire" Ateliers' crafts and I received advance and unexpectedly the first Christmas' gift...and have you already thought at your wishing list?

Adoro questi scatti così ladylike, mi sembra di essere catapultata in un'altra epoca. Devo ringraziare l'Hotel Leon d'Oro di Orta che mi ha gentilmente concesso di sfruttare i suoi interni così adatti al set che avevo in mente di ricreare.

.

La collana che indosso è un'altra mia creazione: sono palline di legno di dimensioni crescenti rivestite all'uncinetto in diverse gradazioni di colore. Si parte dalla pallina più grossa al centro che è bianca, si passa al crema, poi al beige, al tortora ed, infine, al fango. La chiusura è costituita da una piccola asola. Anche questa creazione sarà disponibile a breve nella sezione shop del mio blog.

Per il resto, il Natale sta arrivando e...Giovedì scorso mi trovavo da Dior a Milano per la presentazione da parte degli artigiani degli Ateliers "Savoire Faire" degli universi della maison ed ho ricevuto, in anticipo ed inaspettatamente, il primo regalo di Natale! Voi avete già pensato alla vostra wishing list?
