I wonder about what the new year is planning for me

These pics were taken a few days ago in a viewpoint of a village near my house: the cold was biting but the view was breathtaking. We now come to the end of 2010 and it’s normal to weight all the pros and cons of the year that has just gone and wonder about what the new one is planning for us. I’m very happy about the results achieved by my blog and I hope to keep on this way and get better and better. About the future, the only certainty for the moment is my journey to the East in February and its organization is taking up all my time and my energy in these days. Plans for the New Year’s Eve? I'll spend it with friends: dinner, little 'music and many toasts!
About my look, the thermometer below zero made me choose my Annabella pearl gray fur jacket, combined with a pair of Sandro leather trousers and a Pinko oversize turtleneck sweater. The big star was my new Peekaboo Fendi bag, with a pair of Gucci vertiginous platforms and some gold accessories: starting from the Yves Saint Laurent ring, through the hoop earrings, to the beautiful vintage clock necklace given to me by Manuela for my birthday. A touch of color, the H&M coral nailpolish.

Questi scatti sono stati realizzati qualche giorno fa in un punto panoramico di un paesino vicino a casa mia: il freddo era pungente ma il panorama era davvero mozzafiato. Siamo oramai giunti alla fine di questo 2010 ed è normale sia fare un bilancio dell’anno che è appena trascorso sia immaginare cosa ci riserverà quello venturo. Io sono molto felice dei risultati raggiunti dal mio blog e spero di proseguire su questa strada e migliorare sempre di più. Per quanto riguarda il futuro l’unica certezza, per ora, è il mio viaggio ad Oriente che farò a Febbraio e la cui organizzazione sta occupando tutto il mio tempo e le mie energie di questi giorni. Programmi per Capodanno? Io lo passerò tra amici: una cena, un po’ di musica e molti brindisi!
Per quanto riguarda il mio look, il termometro sotto zero mi ha fatto optare per la mia giacchina di pelliccia grigio perla di Annabella, abbinata ad un paio di pantaloni di pelle di Sandro e ad un maglione oversize con collo alto di Pinko. Grande protagonista la mia nuova Peekaboo di Fendi, accostata ad un paio di vertiginose platforms di Gucci e a diversi accessori dorati: dall’anello di Yves Saint Laurent, passando per gli orecchini a cerchio, fino alla stupenda monachella vintage, la collana con orologio regalatami da Manuela per il mio compleanno. Tocco di colore, lo smalto corallo di H&M.

I wanted to publish a post on December 24th just to wish all of you who always follow me and now become part of my life an Happy and Peaceful Christmas. I hope you can spend it with people you love; I'll stay at home with my family waiting for the 26th when I can also celebrate my birthday! These shots were taken yesterday in my small town, while I was trying to complete the latest presents under a pouring rain. The look I’ve chosen is one of my favs and despite the cold, I could not take the Topshop leopard faux fur coat, the result of a compulsive online shopping session at Topshop, off just for one moment to show the particularity of the jumper, a lot of ladders with small chains applied. Then I chose to combine a simple pair of black leggings, the Miu Miu boots, the Alexander Wang Coco Duffel bag and the armour ring recently discovered in a stall in Milan after having looked for it for some time.

Ci tenevo a pubblicare un post proprio il 24 dicembre per augurare a tutti voi che mi seguite sempre e che oramai siete entrati a far parte della mia vita un Felice e Sereno Natale. Spero lo possiate trascorrere insieme alle persone che amate; io rimarrò a casa con la mia famiglia aspettando il 26 quando potrò festeggiare anche il mio compleanno! Questi scatti sono stati fatti proprio ieri nella mia piccola cittadina, mentre cercavo di portare a termine gli ultimi regali sotto ad una pioggia battente. Il look scelto è tra i miei preferiti e, nonostante il freddo, non potevo non togliermi un attimo la pelliccia maculata di Topshop, per mostrarvi la particolarità del maglione, anch’esso frutto di una sessione compulsiva di shopping online su Topshop, ovvero le sue innumerevoli smagliature con le piccole catenelle applicate. Ho scelto poi di abbinare un semplice paio di leggings neri, gli stivali di Miu Miu, la Coco Duffel di Alexander Wang e l’anello-armatura scovato recentemente in una bancarella a Milano dopo averlo cercato per diverso tempo.

The first hours of the morning are always very frenetic and they don’t ever leave me the time to carefully observe everything surrounds me. Saturday, however, I decided to go out early and enjoy a lakeside walk. The scenery was very striking: a dense mist rised from the water, discovering little by little the landscape all around and giving way to a bright sun that reflecting itself in the pristine snow, almost hurted the eyes. The bitter cold had definitely influenced my outfit so much but, I didn’t want to give up to a bit of color. I chose, in fact, a Celyn b. fuchsia coat combined with warm and cozy accessories: the Gucci knitted boots and wool scarf and gloves. Final touch the Louis Vuitton changing blue patent leather Alma bag, embellished with a charm from my Dior Beauty Special Edition’s collection.

Le prime ore della mattina sono sempre molto frenetiche e non mi lasciano mai il tempo di osservare con cura ciò che mi circonda. Sabato, invece, ho deciso di uscire di buon’ora e concedermi una passeggiata lungolago. Lo scenario era davvero suggestivo: una nebbia densa saliva dall’acqua, scoprendo a poco a poco il paesaggio tutt’attorno e lasciando il posto ad un sole limpido che, riflettendosi nella neve immacolata, faceva quasi male agli occhi. Il freddo pungente ha sicuramente influenzato parecchio il mio outfit, nonostante ciò non ho voluto rinunciare ad un po’ di colore. Ho scelto, infatti, un cappotto fucsia di Celyn b. abbinato a caldi e confortevoli accessori: gli stivali in maglia di Gucci e la sciarpa e i guanti di lana. Tocco finale l’Alma di Louis Vuitton in vernice blu cangiante, impreziosita da un ciondolo della mia collezione di Dior Beauty Special Edition.

It was a long time I wanted to take some pics with my dog and share them with you but as you can see, this is a rather challenging dog. A few days ago, however, just before going out, I thought it was the right moment to immortalize it and so here’s to you Ottone, a eight years Bernese Mountain Dog of an infinite sweetness. I still remember the day when I went to pick it up and came to me a wad of hair with huge paws that already predict its future size!
Coming, however, to my outfit, I opted for a look between the bon-ton and the English country house style in the shades of brown: micro squares trousers and swallow shirt, both by Zara and a soft Cavalli cardigan. Great importance to the accessories too: the already famous Chloé boots, the Gucci Indy bag, a vintage male hat and my new H&M mud nailpolish.

Era da molto tempo che volevo scattare delle foto insieme al mio cane e condividerle con voi ma, come potete vedere, si tratta di un cane piuttosto impegnativo. Qualche giorno fa, però, poco prima di uscire, ho pensato che fosse arrivato il momento giusto per immortalarlo e così ecco a voi Ottone, un Bovaro del Bernese di otto anni e di una dolcezza infinita. Ricordo ancora il giorno in cui sono andata a prenderlo e mi è venuto incontro un batuffolo di pelo con enormi zampe che facevano già presagire la sua futura mole!
Venendo, invece, al mio outfit, ho optato per un look tra il bon-ton ed il country inglese sui toni del marrone: pantaloni a micro quadretti e camicia con le rondini, entrambi di Zara ed un morbido cardigan di Cavalli. Grande spazio anche agli accessori: gli oramai noti stivali di Chloé, la Indy di Gucci, un cappello vintage da uomo ed il mio nuovo smalto fango di H&M.

Certainly you all know the picture of Kate Moss published a few months ago on Vogue UK in which she wore a pair of red leather pants and a breathtaking Balmain leopard jacket. I fell in love with that look since the first moment I saw it, also thanks, without a shadow of doubt, to the extraordinary power of interpretation and the great personality of the Moss. So I tried to repeat the same outfit with low cost items. The research was rather long but I finally managed to achieve my goal and I’m very satisfied of the outcome: the pants are by Pinko, the jacket is by Zara, while the shirt is a courtesy of Motivi. Then I chose to wear a pair of simple Jimmy Choo black booties, combined with the cream patent leather Lady Dior with gold details, such as the Chanel pearls necklace and earrings ones. What do you think about this look?

Sicuramente tutti voi avrete presente la foto di Kate Moss pubblicata su Vogue UK qualche mese fa in cui indossava un paio di pantaloni in pelle rossa ed una giacca leopardata di Balmain da togliere il fiato. Mi sono innamorata di quel look dal primo istante in cui l’ho visto complice, senza ombra di dubbio, la straordinaria forza interpretativa e la grande personalità della Moss. Ho quindi cercato di riproporre lo stesso outfit con capi low cost. La ricerca è stata piuttosto lunga ma alla fine sono riuscita a raggiungere il mio obiettivo e sono molto soddisfatta del risultato: i pantaloni sono di Pinko, la giacca è di Zara, mentra la camicia è un gentile omaggio di Motivi. Ho scelto poi di indossare dei semplici stivaletti neri di Jimmy Choo, abbinati alla Lady Dior in vernice color crema con dettagli oro, come quelli della collana e degli orecchini di perle di Chanel.
