Whoever follows me already know that in addition to more traditional posts, sometimes Manuela and I love to experiment alternative locations, pushing us beyond the mere presentation of one of my everyday life moments or a particular outfit. Reaching this white rocks stretch in the Sesia riverbed was not so easy, also having to pay attention to the camera equipment and having to be careful not to slip, especially where there was water. But as often happens, the idea that we have in mind is stronger than the difficulties we have to face and so here it is the result. We wanted to create a contrast between the innocence of the natural landscape and my look: a total black with some gothic hints thanks mainly to the effect created by the fringes of this shirt discovered on Topshop and combined with a simple pair of American Apparel leggings. The always present Burberry Prorsum aviator boots that I had already presented in the previous post and a final touch, for which I took inspiration from Rumi of Fashiontoast, the DIY fur bag.

Chi mi segue sa già che accanto a post più tradizionali, ogni tanto io e Manuela amiamo sperimentare location alternative, spingendoci oltre la semplice presentazione di un momento della mia giornata o di un particolare outfit. Raggiungere questa distesa di massi bianchi nel letto del fiume Sesia non è stato semplicissimo, dovendo anche trasportare l’attrezzatura fotografica e dovendo fare attenzione a non scivolare soprattutto nei punti in cui vi era l’acqua. Ma come spesso accade, l’idea che abbiamo in mente è più forte delle difficoltà che dobbiamo affrontare e così ecco a voi il risultato. Volevamo creare un contrasto tra il candore del paesaggio naturale ed il mio look: un total black dai richiami quasi gotici dovuto in particolar modo all’effetto creato dalle frange di questa maglia scovata su Topshop e abbinata ad un semplice paio di leggings di American Apparel. Immancabili i miei aviator boots di Burberry Prorsum che vi avevo già presentato nel post precedente e tocco finale, per il quale ho preso ispirazione da Rumi di Fashiontoast, la borsa di volpe realizzata proprio da me.

When you walk you can not step on dry leaves which inexorable fall from the trees, nature turns on red, yellow and orange, the air we breathe is really nice, fizzy but not sharp. The other day I was granted a short walk to enjoy a few moments of this autumn show and take some photos to show you my look. I chose to wear a quite comfortable outfit, enriched with different accessories that recalled in colors this wonderful season. The passion for the capes is taking over on me but how can you not love them? I bought this one I’m wearing at Massimo Dutti and it's really warm, comfortable and enveloping. Combined with a pair of skinny jeans and a basic brown sweater I think it's perfect. As I said, the accessories are predominant in this look: Miu Miu trekking boots, a real must for this season, my Yves Saint Laurent Muse bag and the American Apparel hat that, finally, I managed to wear. What do you think about the final result?

Quando si passeggia non si può fare a meno di calpestare le foglie secche che inesorabili cadono dagli alberi, la natura si tinge di rosso, giallo e arancio, l’aria che si respira è davvero piacevole, frizzante ma non ancora pungente. L’altro giorno mi sono concessa una breve passeggiata per godere di qualche attimo di questo spettacolo autunnale e per scattare qualche foto e mostrarvi il mio look. Ho scelto di indossare un outfit abbastanza comodo, arricchito da diversi accessori che richiamassero nei colori questa meravigliosa stagione. La passione per le mantelle sta prendendo il sopravvento su di me ma come si fa a non amarle? Questa che indosso l’ho acquistata da Massimo Dutti ed è davvero calda, avvolgente e molto comoda. Abbinata ad un paio di skinny jeans e ad una semplicissima maglia marrone credo sia perfetta. Come vi dicevo gli accessori sono predominanti in questo look: stivali in stile trekking di Miu Miu, vero e proprio tormentone per questa stagione, la mia Muse di Yves Saint Laurent e il cappello di American Apparel che, finalmente, sono riuscita ad indossare. Cosa ne pensate del risultato finale?

How can you beat the heat of these days? An afternoon spent in the pool, a frozen cocktail and a slice of watermelon is definitely the right answer! I would like to propose an outfit purely for the pool or the sea with a touch of glamor. I chose to wear, in fact, a kaftan from the collection that last year Matthew Williamson designed for H&M, combined with a pair of Dolce&Gabbana sandals with an amazing acid green sponge band. Then I tried to play a lot with accessories, deliberately seeking a bit excessive and baroque style, so Eighties: big dark sunglasses, flashy rings, elastic belt and a DIY necklace consists of three rounds of chains, held together by a cross. Final touch the pink lipstick that I love calling "Jem and The Holograms” color. Does someone, besides me, remember this cartoon? I don’t know if it was broadcasted only in Italy or in other countries too!

Come si può sconfiggere il caldo torrido di questi giorni? Un pomeriggio trascorso in piscina, un cocktail ghiacciato ed una fetta di anguria sono sicuramente la risposta giusta! Ho pensato di proporvi un outfit prettamente da piscina o mare ma con un tocco glamour. Ho scelto di indossare, infatti, un kaftano della collezione che l’anno scorso Matthew Williamson ha disegnato per H&M, abbinato ad un paio di sandali di Dolce&Gabbana con una divertente fascetta in spugna verde acido. Ho cercato poi di giocare molto con gli accessori, ricercando volutamente uno stile un po’ eccessivo e barocco, molto anni '80: grandi occhiali da sole scuri, anelli appariscenti, cintura elastica ed una collana realizzata da me e costituita da tre giri di catene, tenuti insieme da una croce. Tocco finale il rossetto rosa che io amo definire color “Jem e Le Holograms”. Qualcuno, oltre a me, si ricorda di questo cartone animato? Non so se fosse trasmesso solo in Italia o anche in altri paesi!

Sometime A Bit Excessive but this is me

American Apparel is definitely one of my stops for shopping and untill a bit time ago, every time I went in my eye fell upon these fluorescent pink leggings, but the question that sticks in my mind was always the same: "When, where and why should I wear a pair of fluo pink leggings?" and the answer was automatic: "Maybe only to shoot an aerobics video in a very Eighties style". But we know that when we women have one thing in mind, we will hardly give up. Furthermore, fluo seems to be the dominant trend of the upcoming summer. So during my last trip to America, I finally purchased them. Because of their extremely challenging color, I decided to combine them with a simple black shirt, close to waist by an elastic belt, and my Jeffrey Campbell studded wedges. What do you think about this outfit and above all about these particular shots both thanks to the location and the final effect?

American Apparel è sicuramente una delle mie tappe fisse per lo shopping e, fino ad un po’ di tempo fa, ogni volta che entravo, l’occhio mi cadeva su questi leggings rosa fosforescente, ma la domanda che si insinuava nella mia mente era sempre la stessa: “Quando, dove e perché avrei indossato un paio di leggings rosa fluo?” e la risposta era automatica: ”Forse solo per girare un video di aerobica in puro stile anni Ottanta!”. Ma si sa che quando noi donne abbiamo in mente una cosa, difficilmente vi rinunciamo. Inoltre il fluo sembra essere la tendenza dominante dell’estate che sta arrivando. Così durante il mio ultimo viaggio in America, li ho finalmente acquistati. Dato il loro colore piuttosto impegnativo ho deciso di abbinarli ad una semplice maglia nera, stretta in vita da una cintura elastica, e alle mie zeppe borchiate di Jeffrey Campbell. Cosa ne pensate dell’outfit e soprattutto di questi scatti molto particolari sia per la location che per l’effetto finale?
