In these days I've had very little time to do some new pics, so I’ve tought to propose to you this outfit worn a little 'time ago but not yet published on my blog. Grey is one of my favorite colors, and when my eyes were laid on the Chanel 2.55 Jumbo that you see in these photos, I couldn’t resist, I had to buy it! Shortly after, at Bershka, I find these grey leopard leggings that matched perfectly. Final touch, one of my creations: handmade crochet hoop earrings with geometric decorations inside, just in the same shade. As for my trip, after spending three days in Las Vegas, we adventured into the Grand Canyon, the Four Corners (the only point throughout the USA where they meet the boundaries of four different states, Arizona , Utah, Colorado and New Mexico), the Petrified Forest and Meteor Crater. We have ground many miles in the middle of nowhere, where we even had trouble finding a place to stop to eat or sleep, a real adventure! After a long journey, driving also along the historic Route 66 which I propose to you my picture below, we reached Anheim and we couldn’t spend a day at Disneyland! We spent the next few days in the sunny Orange County, especially in Laguna Beach and Newport Beach. Now I’m back in LA and, unfortunately, in a few days I’ll return to Italy.

Dato che in questi giorni ho avuto pochissimo tempo a disposizione per scattare delle nuove foto, ho pensato di proporvi questo outfit indossato un po’ di tempo fa ma non ancora pubblicato sul mio blog. Il grigio è uno dei miei colori preferiti e quando i miei occhi si sono posati sulla Chanel 2.55 Jumbo che vedete in queste foto, non ho potuto resistere, ho dovuto acquistarla! Poco dopo, da Bershka, ho scovato questi leggings leopardati sempre sul grigio che si abbinavano perfettamente. Tocco finale, una delle mie creazioni: gli orecchini a cerchio rivestiti all’uncinetto e con decorazioni geometriche all’interno, proprio nella stessa tonalità. Per quanto concerne il mio viaggio, dopo aver trascorso tre giorni a Las Vegas, ci siamo avventuarti verso il Grand Canyon, il Four Corners (l’unico punto in tutti gli USA in cui si incontrano i confini di quattro stati diversi, l’Arizona, lo Utah, il Colorado e il New Mexico), la Petrified Forest e il Meteor Crater. Abbiamo macinato molte miglia in mezzo al nulla, dove si faceva persino fatica a trovare un luogo dove fermarsi per mangiare o dormire, una vera e propria avventura! Dopo un lungo viaggio, percorrendo anche la storica Route 66 di cui vi propongo una mia foto qui sotto, siamo giunti ad Anheim e non potevamo non trascorrere una giornata a Disneyland! I giorni successivi li abbiamo trascorsi nelle soleggiata Orange County, soprattutto a Laguna Beach e a Newport Beach. Ora sono di nuovo a LA e, purtroppo, tra pochi giorni rientrerò in Italia.

Another part of my roundtrip to California

First of all, I apologize for my absence but I’m always traveling and finding a connection is not always easy, then my laptop decided to work very little here in America. Another thing: in these “American” posts I’m completely absent, because having to do the photos I can’t be also on the other side of the camera. But I hope that you can appreciate them and maybe get some ideas for your next trip!
I spent the last day in Los Angeles at Universal Studios (photo 1), where I could see some very famous sets, including that of Desperate Housewives, which I adore.
The next stop was the picturesque Venice with its endless beaches (photos 2 and 3), then we enjoyed the sunset on Malibu (photo 4), a breathtaking spectacle. Then we started to drive along the windy Big Sur (photo 5), also meeting a beach inhabited by giant sea lions, until reach the lovely San Francisco (photo 6). From here we ventured into Yosemite Park (photo 7) and Sequoia Park, finding many passes closed due to snow and having to make detours very demanding. After a long journey through the stunning Death Valley (photo 8), we arrived in Las Vegas...and to reward us for all the nights spent in motels, we decided to spend two days in the super kitsch Caesar's Palace!
Oh I forgot ... at Neimann Marcus, here in Vegas, I think I found the last electric blue Balenciaga available in the world, after having looked for it in every city where I came...and I could leave it there? Of course not!

Innanzitutto mi scuso per la mia assenza ma sono sempre in viaggio e trovare una connessione non è sempre facile, in più il mio portatile ha deciso di funzionare ben poco qui in America. Un’altra cosa: in questi post “americani” manco completamente io, perché dovendo fare le foto non posso essere anche dall’altra parte dell’obiettivo. Spero comunque che le possiate apprezzare e, magari, prendere degli spunti per il vostro prossimo viaggio!
L’ultimo giorno a Los Angeles l’ho trascorso agli Universal Studios (foto 1), dove ho potuto vedere alcuni set molto famosi, tra cui quello di Desperate Housewives, che io adoro.
La tappa successiva è stata la pittoresca Venice con le sue interminabili spiagge (foto 2 e 3), per poi assaporare il tramonto su Malibu (foto 4), uno spettacolo mozzafiato. Abbiamo poi iniziato a costeggiare tutto il ventoso Big Sur (foto 5) incontrando anche una spiaggia abitata da giganteschi leoni marini, fino a raggiungere la deliziosa San Francisco (foto 6). Da qui ci siamo avventurati nello Yosemite Park (foto 7) e nel Sequoia Park, trovando molti passi chiusi per neve e dovendo fare delle deviazioni molto impegnative. Dopo un lungo viaggio attraverso l’incredibile Death Valley (foto 8), siamo giunti a Las Vegas…e per ripagarci di tutte le notti passate in motel, abbiamo deciso di trascorrere due giorni nel super kitsch Caesar’s Palace!
Ah dimenticavo…da Neimann Marcus qui a Vegas credo di aver trovato l’ultima Balenciaga blu elettrico disponibile al mondo, dopo averla cercata in ogni città in cui arrivavo…e potevo lasciarla lì? Ovviamente no!

First days in LA

Finally I'm in Los Angeles and it's exactly as I imagined it! I arrived last Wednesday and, unfortunately, tomorrow, I'll already leave to run up the coast to San Francisco. The next steps will be Venice, Malibu and Santa Monica. In the pics above there's a small guide to these my early days. Well, after having recovered the rental car (white and with a California license plate, of course!) we headed toward our hotel, The Standard in Downtown, that stretch of skyscrapers that you see in the third image. The first step was the charateristic and colorful Melrose Avenue, where I started to do some shopping, West Hollywood and then go along the Sunset Strip, animated by countless nightclubs. New day and new destinations: Beverly Hills, Bel Air, UCLA, and certainly could not forget them, Rodeo Drive, Barneys, Sacks Fifth Avenue and Neimann-Marcus. Finally, we visited Hollywood, the Walk of Fame and the Kodak Theater, where preparations are underway for the Oscars. Today, however, I spent the whole day at Universal Studios.

Thank you for all the comments and emails of congratulations and best wishes for my trip. I apologize for the delay with which I reply but I'm sure that you understand the situation. I've not any particular outfits to show you because I'm around the city all day long and I need very comfortable clothes.

Finalmente a Los Angeles ed è come me la immaginavo! Sono arrivata mercoledì scorso e, purtroppo, domani, la lascierò già per risalire la costa fino a San Francisco. Le prossime tappe saranno Venice, Malibu e Santa Monica. Nelle foto qui sopra c'è un piccolo resoconto di questi miei primi giorni. Allora, dopo aver recuperato la macchina a noleggio (bianca e targata California, of course!) ci siamo diretti verso il nostro hotel, The Standard in Downtown, ovvero quella distesa di grattacieli che vedete nella terza immagine. La prima tappa è stata la caratteristica e colorata Melrose Avenue, dove ho iniziato a fare un po' di shopping, poi West Hollywood e via lungo il Sunset Strip, animato da una quantità innumerevole di nightclubs.
