Here's what I like most about that so loved, hated, envied and criticized universe called fashion: I can say with absolute certainty "I will never wear a long pleated skirt " to buying it after, wearing it and even feeling comfortable in it! In fact, for this outfit I’ve chose a maxi pleated skirt purchased online at Style by Marina and combined with that neon pink H&M tank top, my new Casadei wedges and that Marc Jacobs clutch. I’ve given up the earrings and I opted for that H&M thin chain with a small owl pendant to focus not only on those H&M gold metal bangles and those vintage ones in different shades of pink bakelite, but also on the rings, purchased at Aldo store which, as you know, has recently opened in Milan.

Ecco cosa mi piace di più di quell’universo tanto amato, odiato, criticato e invidiato chiamato moda: poter dire con assoluta convinzione “Io non metterò mai una gonna lunga a pieghe!” per poi comprarla subito dopo, indossarla e sentirsi pure a proprio agio! Per questo outfit ho scelto infatti una maxi gonna plissettata acquistata online da Style by Marina e abbinata ad una canotta rosa fluo di H&M, alle mie nuove zeppe di Casadei ed alla clutch di Marc Jacobs. Ho rinunciato agli orecchini e ho optato per una sottile catenina con un piccolo ciondolo a forma di gufo di H&M per poter puntare non solo sui bracciali rigidi in metallo dorato sempre di H&M e su quelli vintage in diverse tonalità di bachelite rosa, ma anche sugli anelli, acquistati presso lo store di Aldo che, come sapete, ha recentemente aperto a Milano.

I wanted to show you a post a little 'different than usual to answer the many requests I receive from you about how I create an outfit. Everything always starts with an idea, an inspiration of the moment and in this case it’s about the fabulous Seventies and then it goes on in a funny research of all clothing first of all among those ones already in my closet and then looking around in different shops and of course online too. At the beginning there have been these Casadei wedges, seen for the first time on Rachel Zoe’s website, looked in vain for them in boutique and finally found out at Luisaviaroma. The second step was the purchase of a pair of 7 For All Mankind dark washed flared jeans. That Marc Jacobs clutch, however, was definitely not planned, but when I found it in front of me, I immediately thought it was perfect for the outfit I was creating so I could not resist. If you remember, some time ago I had already worn this American Apparel floppy hat, this H&M blouse and this Chanel necklace. Finishing touch, those Topshop earrings purchased online. Et voila...le jeux son fait! Oh I forgot, what do you think about this disturbed vintage effect in the photos?

Ho voluto proporvi un post un po’ diverso dal solito per rispondere alle molte richieste che ricevo da parte vostra su come costruisco un outfit. Tutto nasce sempre da un’idea, da un’ispirazione del momento e in questo caso si tratta dei favolosi anni Settanta e poi prosegue in una divertente ricerca dei vari capi innanzitutto tra quelli già presenti nel mio armadio e poi girovagando nei vari negozi e ovviamente anche online. In principio ci sono state le zeppe di Casadei, viste per la prima volta sul sito di Rachel Zoe, cercate vanamente in boutique e scovate infine da Luisaviaroma. Il secondo passo è stato l’acquisto di un paio di jeans 7 For All Mankind con un lavaggio scuro e svasati in fondo. La clutch di Marc Jacobs, invece, non era assolutamente in programma, ma quando me la sono ritrovata davanti ho subito pensato che fosse perfetta per l’outfit che stavo costruendo e così non ho saputo resistere. Il cappello di American Apparel, la blousa di H&M e la collana di Chanel, se vi ricordate, li avevo già indossati qualche tempo fa. Ultimo tocco, gli orecchini di Topshop acquistati online. Et voilà…le jeux son fait! Ah dimenticavo, cosa ne pensate di questo effetto disturbato dal sapore vintage nelle foto?

Finally a sunny day, the first since I came back from California. Even though I have much work backward and several projects to follow, I decided to take advantage of this first glimpse of Spring to go out for a quiet walk, ice cream and, of course, to take pictures that I hope you enjoy. For this occasion I chose an outfit with natural tones, beige and brown, brightened by a touch of lime green that I love so much. The trench I wear, when I bought it I was immediately impressed by its touch more feminine than the classical model and its inner lining that, even though unfortunately you don't see from the pics, it's the same shade as the sweater.

Finalmente una bella giornata di sole, la prima da quando sono tornata dalla California. Nonostante abbia molto lavoro arretrato e diversi progetti da seguire, ho deciso di approfittare di questo primo scorcio di Primavera per uscire per una tranquilla passeggiata, un gelato e, ovviamente, per scattare delle foto che, spero, possiate apprezzare. Per l'occasione ho scelto un outfit dai toni naturali, beige e marrone, ravvivati da un tocco di verde acido che io amo in modo particolare. Il trench che indosso, quando l'ho acquistato mi ha subito colpito per il suo tocco più femminile rispetto al modello classico e per la sua fodera interna che, anche se purtroppo non vedete dalle foto, è della stessa tonalità della maglia.

I took these pictures in Orta in one of the last autumn’s days. Behind me one of the most beautiful lake’s view from where it’s possible to admire San Giulio’s island.

This dress means a lot to me, it belonged to my mother and I have to admit: vintage is going to passionate me more and more.

In this outfit I wear a pair of natural crochet with amber drop pendent earrings, they are realized in collaboration with my mother, you will see a lot of those kind of creations.

Queste foto le ho scattate uno degli ultimi giorni d’autunno ad Orta. Alle mie spalle uno degli scorci più belli del lago dal quale è possibile ammirare l’isola di San Giulio.

Sono particolarmente affezionata a questo abito che apparteneva a mia madre e, devo ammettere: il vintage mi sta appassionando sempre di più.

In questo outfit indosso anche un paio di orecchini all’uncinetto color ecrù con pendente a goccia color ambra. Sono realizzati a mano in collaborazione con mia madre, vedrete spesso accessori di questo tipo.

Molto presto attiverò una sezione del blog dove poter acquistare le mie creazioni, una e-commerce area...Ovviamente spero vi piacciano!
