I’m particularly proud of these shots: I think that the choice of the outfit and, above all, of the colors is perfect for the type of location used. For the occasion I decided to wear a pair of Celyn b. yellow pants and a Zara striped blouse. The fresh air of the lake made a jacket necessary so I opted for this Celyn b. gold jacket. Gold is definitely a dominant element in this look: we also found it in the Louis Vuitton sculpture-wedges, in the details of the Chanel 2.55 bag, in the Yves Saint Laurent bracelet, in the Ray-Ban sunglasses and, finally, in the H&M metallic nailpolish. What do you think about the final result?

Sono particolarmente orgogliosa di questi scatti: trovo che la scelta dell’outfit e, soprattutto, dei colori sia perfetta per il tipo di location utilizzata. Per l’occasione ho deciso di indossare un paio di pantaloni gialli di Celyn b. ed una blousa a righe di Zara. L’aria frizzante del lago rendeva necessaria una giacca ed io ho optato per questo giubbotto oro di Celyn b. L’oro è sicuramente un elemento dominante in questo look: lo ritroviamo anche nelle zeppe-scultura di Louis Vuitton, nei dettagli della 2.55 di Chanel, nel bracciale di Yves Saint Laurent, nei Ray-Ban ed, infine, nello smalto metallizzato di H&M. Voi cosa ne pensate del risultato finale?

The first hours of the morning are always very frenetic and they don’t ever leave me the time to carefully observe everything surrounds me. Saturday, however, I decided to go out early and enjoy a lakeside walk. The scenery was very striking: a dense mist rised from the water, discovering little by little the landscape all around and giving way to a bright sun that reflecting itself in the pristine snow, almost hurted the eyes. The bitter cold had definitely influenced my outfit so much but, I didn’t want to give up to a bit of color. I chose, in fact, a Celyn b. fuchsia coat combined with warm and cozy accessories: the Gucci knitted boots and wool scarf and gloves. Final touch the Louis Vuitton changing blue patent leather Alma bag, embellished with a charm from my Dior Beauty Special Edition’s collection.

Le prime ore della mattina sono sempre molto frenetiche e non mi lasciano mai il tempo di osservare con cura ciò che mi circonda. Sabato, invece, ho deciso di uscire di buon’ora e concedermi una passeggiata lungolago. Lo scenario era davvero suggestivo: una nebbia densa saliva dall’acqua, scoprendo a poco a poco il paesaggio tutt’attorno e lasciando il posto ad un sole limpido che, riflettendosi nella neve immacolata, faceva quasi male agli occhi. Il freddo pungente ha sicuramente influenzato parecchio il mio outfit, nonostante ciò non ho voluto rinunciare ad un po’ di colore. Ho scelto, infatti, un cappotto fucsia di Celyn b. abbinato a caldi e confortevoli accessori: gli stivali in maglia di Gucci e la sciarpa e i guanti di lana. Tocco finale l’Alma di Louis Vuitton in vernice blu cangiante, impreziosita da un ciondolo della mia collezione di Dior Beauty Special Edition.

Taking pictures under the rain is very complicated especially for Manuela who must protect the camera equipment. In the end we still managed to make these shots that I personally like a lot and, despite the cold and the rain, we even had fun: in a moment of madness I also threw my umbrella in the air! And about my look, I focused on the various shades of grey: leopard leggings purchased some time ago at Bershka and a Celyn b. soft wool coat. The bad weather didn’t, however, prevented me to wear my inseparable heels, a Jimmy Choo for H&M sandals combined with a warm socks. Last touch, the new Jimmy Choo clutch and the Tatty Devine mustache ring, bought in London.

Scattare foto sotto la pioggia è davvero molto complicato soprattutto per Manuela che deve proteggere l’attrezzatura fotografica. Alla fine siamo comunque riuscite a realizzare questi scatti che a me personalmente piacciono molto e, nonostante il freddo e la pioggia battente, ci siamo pure divertite: in un attimo di follia ho anche lanciato in aria il mio ombrello! Per quanto riguarda il mio look, ho puntato sulle varie sfumature di grigio: leggings leopardati acquistati qualche tempo fa da Bershka e un morbido cappottino di lana di Celyn b. Il pessimo tempo non mi ha comunque impedito di indossare i miei inseparabili tacchi, un paio di sandali di Jimmy Choo for H&M abbinati a dei caldi calzini. Ultimo tocco, la nuova pochette di Jimmy Choo e l’anello con i baffi di Tatty Devine, acquistato a Londra.

Finally a sunny day, the first since I came back from California. Even though I have much work backward and several projects to follow, I decided to take advantage of this first glimpse of Spring to go out for a quiet walk, ice cream and, of course, to take pictures that I hope you enjoy. For this occasion I chose an outfit with natural tones, beige and brown, brightened by a touch of lime green that I love so much. The trench I wear, when I bought it I was immediately impressed by its touch more feminine than the classical model and its inner lining that, even though unfortunately you don't see from the pics, it's the same shade as the sweater.

Finalmente una bella giornata di sole, la prima da quando sono tornata dalla California. Nonostante abbia molto lavoro arretrato e diversi progetti da seguire, ho deciso di approfittare di questo primo scorcio di Primavera per uscire per una tranquilla passeggiata, un gelato e, ovviamente, per scattare delle foto che, spero, possiate apprezzare. Per l'occasione ho scelto un outfit dai toni naturali, beige e marrone, ravvivati da un tocco di verde acido che io amo in modo particolare. Il trench che indosso, quando l'ho acquistato mi ha subito colpito per il suo tocco più femminile rispetto al modello classico e per la sua fodera interna che, anche se purtroppo non vedete dalle foto, è della stessa tonalità della maglia.

Devo ringraziare ancora una volta Sonia Grispo e tutta la redazione di Spray Style Magazine per avermi inserito nel nuovo numero a fianco di altri giovani designers italiani. Potete leggere l'articolo su di me e le mie creazioni qui.

First days in LA

Finally I'm in Los Angeles and it's exactly as I imagined it! I arrived last Wednesday and, unfortunately, tomorrow, I'll already leave to run up the coast to San Francisco. The next steps will be Venice, Malibu and Santa Monica. In the pics above there's a small guide to these my early days. Well, after having recovered the rental car (white and with a California license plate, of course!) we headed toward our hotel, The Standard in Downtown, that stretch of skyscrapers that you see in the third image. The first step was the charateristic and colorful Melrose Avenue, where I started to do some shopping, West Hollywood and then go along the Sunset Strip, animated by countless nightclubs. New day and new destinations: Beverly Hills, Bel Air, UCLA, and certainly could not forget them, Rodeo Drive, Barneys, Sacks Fifth Avenue and Neimann-Marcus. Finally, we visited Hollywood, the Walk of Fame and the Kodak Theater, where preparations are underway for the Oscars. Today, however, I spent the whole day at Universal Studios.

Thank you for all the comments and emails of congratulations and best wishes for my trip. I apologize for the delay with which I reply but I'm sure that you understand the situation. I've not any particular outfits to show you because I'm around the city all day long and I need very comfortable clothes.

Finalmente a Los Angeles ed è come me la immaginavo! Sono arrivata mercoledì scorso e, purtroppo, domani, la lascierò già per risalire la costa fino a San Francisco. Le prossime tappe saranno Venice, Malibu e Santa Monica. Nelle foto qui sopra c'è un piccolo resoconto di questi miei primi giorni. Allora, dopo aver recuperato la macchina a noleggio (bianca e targata California, of course!) ci siamo diretti verso il nostro hotel, The Standard in Downtown, ovvero quella distesa di grattacieli che vedete nella terza immagine. La prima tappa è stata la caratteristica e colorata Melrose Avenue, dove ho iniziato a fare un po' di shopping, poi West Hollywood e via lungo il Sunset Strip, animato da una quantità innumerevole di nightclubs. Nuovo giorno e nuove mete: Beverly Hills, Bel Air, UCLA e, non poteo di certo dimenticarli, Rodeo Drive, Barneys, Sacks Fifth Avenue e Neimann-Marcus.
